What kinds of screening and background checks do you do before hiring someone?
The State of Wisconsin requires that all personal care workers complete background information disclosures. Preferred Home Health Solutions checks background information and criminal history information through the Wisconsin Department of Justice. We also require that all references are checked, employees must pass pre-employment and random drug screens, as well as carry valid auto insurance before hire.
What kind of training, both prior to their first job and on-going, do your staff members receive?
Unless certified nursing assistant certificates are present, employees are trained in the 11 core competences of personal care once hired. Training is on-going with personal care workers and in-services are held to ensure training.
What is the cost of your services?
Cost of Preferred Home Health Solutions services vary depending on the client’s needs, the services required, location, and method of payment. We offer free in-home assessments to determine the above criteria and will discuss pricing with our clients to ensure affordability.
Are there a minimum number of hours I must use the worker each day?
Location is a factor, however, typically Preferred Home Health Solutions requires a 1-hour minimum.

No, how long you choose to use our service is up to you.
How does the agency handle requests for changes in the caregivers?
Preferred Home Health Solutions values our client’s input and suggestions. If you request a different caregiver, Preferred Home Health Solutions will honor that request.
